Sámi reindeer-herding

Skabram Camping is run by a reindeer-herding sámi family of five.

The sámi culture and our work with the reindeer has been passed down the generations in our family through centuries, mielennia.

We keep a few of our reindeer in a large pen at the campsite to provide interesting actitivies for our guests.

One of the absolutely astonishing things you can experience here is sleeping in our glamping tent among the reindeer!

Enjoy the warmth of the wooden stove, feel the lovely scent of smoke from the stove pipe and watch the light of the flames dance in the tent.

Check-in and check-out

The glamping is available for check-in at 15:00. On special occasions and on request it might be possible to check in earlier. Latest check-in is 20:00.

No self-check-in possible for glamping due to the fact that there are live reindeer in the area around the tent.

Check-outs are expected no later than 11:00 on the day of departure.

Important procedures in the glamping area;

1. Make sure to always keep the gate  closed so no reindeer escape.

2. Do not feed the animals and do not leave food outside of the tent.

3. Make sure that you read the information brochure in the tent upon check-in. If something is unclear, ask our personel for clarification.

4. And most importantly, enjoy your stay!

Included in the stay

The glamping provides space for maximum two guests at a time and consists of a circular tent heated by a wood stove. On each side of the stove is a 80 cm bed with blankets, pillows, bedsheets and towels included.

Kitchen, showers and toilets are available in the service house (roughly 150 m away).

Our staff takes care of the cleaning when you check-out.
