Antje

Antje is our best and most exemplary dairy cow. She is very sweet and gives lots of milk. At milking time she is always with her nose in front at the gate to be first in the milking stable.
In the cold winters she wears a bra stuffed with newspapers to prevent frostbite on her sensitive nipples.
Blinka

Blinka is an easy going cow. She is very affectionate and friendly, both to other cows as to humans. She is happy and really enjoys it when you tickle her.
She likes to take it easy and is always first to lie down in the stable to ruminate.
Bambu

Bambu is the first cow who was born on our farm in Skabram. She is the daughter of cow Blinka and has the same friendly character as her mother. Late April 2011 she gave birth to a bull, and since then she is a dairy cow. Now she comes brave into the milking stable twice a day and goes neatly, a tad restless, standing at her place. It is of course very exciting to be milked, both for her as for us!
Gullan

Gullan is new in the group. We have her since December 2010. She is a beautiful and elegant cow, not that smart, but she is easy to milk. She is a friendly cow and was easily excepted in the herd.

Jetje

Jetje is a funny and crazy cow. She often acts like a restless child. She is terribly curious and she finds it difficult to stand still during milking time. We often call her ‘Jetje of the Muppet show’. Because of her character and excessive hair growth on her head and ears.
Juttan

Juttan is our smallest cow, but happy to arrange it all in the herd. She challenged last summer, with her tiny little body, our loan bull Herodes constantly. Luckily he was very friendly and responded to her fanatical pounding and pushing with soft pushes. During milking Juttan behaves usually exemplary. And when she is done she wants, before she goes out, always wander around the places of her fellow cows; maybe someone has left over some food!
Troela

Troela is a very balanced and grand cow. Within the group, she is the leader. Is there anything new to see, Troela is the first to check it out. She has also a very maternal instinct; with each new born calf she roars the whole day incredible loud. Our neighbors already asked whether we had an elephant between our cows...
Svalka

Svalka is a real little rascal. If she has something in her head, she drives very much like her way. She cannot be quickly put off. She’s no good at watching her step, so she does not always come unscathed from the forest. She is an incredibly friendly cow and easy to milk. But when she doesn’t like something, she shows directly.
Rosa
Born: 2005 – 10 - 17

Rosa has the nickname 'Tank'. For a mountain cow she is big, firm and plump. During milking she is not always friendly and unfortunately she often pounds and pushes. Not the perfect dairy cow, but of course, she’s also nice in a way.
